More about Don Best...
Don has authored six books, held senior editorial positions with various magazines, newspapers and newsletters, conceived and launched two publications from the ground up. He was selected by This Old House to write a companion book to the popular PBS television show and received an award from the American Society of Business Press Editors for his in-depth analysis of Hurricane Andrew’s impact on the homebuilding industry. In addition to his expertise in business and housing technology, Don has written dozens of articles on energy conservation and renewable energy.
Don is passionate about the English language. His entire career, starting as a bilingual editor in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, has been dedicated to producing great prose and helping others improve their writing with professional editing and proofreading. He is fluent in Portuguese and conversant in Spanish. Using his cross-cultural experience and linguistic skills, he does professional translation work and teaches English as a second language.
